Under this motto, Rajaa and Tuncay present an evening of poetry and oriental dance. Tuncay Gary reads from his poetry books – “poems full of burning passion and emotional density” and Rajaa dances. Alternating poetry recitation and oriental dance – this is a sensual delight! “It is a pleasure to listen to Tuncay and watch Rajaa dance. While Tuncay Gary’s beautiful words still resonate within you, you are intoxicated by the sight of the dancer Rajaa’s beautiful movements to classical oriental sounds.” Rajaa and Tuncay have presented their program to great acclaim at venues including the “East meets West” arts festival, the Tucholsky Bookstore in Berlin Mitte, the Tiyatrom – Turkish Theater Berlin (special guest Bernard Mayo and band), the Mut Theater in Hamburg and the Palais Palffy in Vienna. Rajaa and Tuncay perform both as a duo and with a live band.

Tuncay Gary
is a poet, actor, playwright, director, and dramaturge. He has published numerous poems and prose texts. In addition to acting engagements in film and theater (at the Vienna Burgtheater, the Maxim Gorki Theater, and the Deutsches Theater Berlin), he produces his own and other plays and offers a literature and theater workshop for children and young people.
